“The Face of Tomorrow” By Matty Tricca
Let the face of tomorrow guide these days, and stop those who try to militarize our cities and plains,
Let the face of tomorrow allow us to see another day, the world is becoming a sadder and sadder place. Friends, family, loved ones, who never come out of the darkest caves, buried in the sand, dust, metal, or in our graves.
Let the face of tomorrow shine a light on those lives who gave. Rest assured they’re laying upon the stars seeing our world from outer space.
What has become of our world, it’s turned into a world without peace, without joy, without care and we’re the ones left to pick up the pieces that not even we can bear.
Our scars have opened up even more, because we could not keep our promises to the American dream. Our demise is just above the horizon, so now is the time where we need to put up a fight. Without fear, with the might of our compassion.
We can no longer withhold the cost of humanity. If society is falling to ruin, then let’s say it. Let’s prove it! We need to raise our voices, raise our actions, and show the world and show of what's involved. Let’s show the villains of today that we will not fall. America is OUR home. We must protect it, with our hope.
We can pray for the deceased, but we can not linger. Let us march one by one and show that we are not afraid of the scars we’ve made. We now must defend. Our well wishes to mend.
Let us not pretend. We have a right to be heard, so let’s hear it!
Let the face of tomorrow see us and receive our dignity, WE matter! Let our values, rights, beliefs not go extinct. Too much of our time on earth is made from money and power. Both lead to greed and greed turns to hate, hate turns to ruin
Let the face of tomorrow give up wealth therefore we can live a normal life like we did before. Now is not the time to weep. Now is the time to help each other. See all sides of life.
Let the face of tomorrow help us put up one last fight. Because after all, the face of tomorrow is our light!”
“We the visonaries” by Matty Tricca
“We ALL have visions
That should get heard loud and clear
That each of us hold so dear
But there is no reason for humanity to
Fear
We ALL have boulders
that get in the way
That we constantly bear on our shoulders
Each day
That can make all of us feel so out of place
But it’s these challenges we that we must embrace
Then
Everything will fall into place.
If only
We could stop judging others
Let each story be told
Let’s not wait til
Our days get old
Before we learn that
We are all part of a
Big wide world
It’s time to start treating Everyone
As equals
Without needing so much
power, because power
Can devour our best intentions
The truth is our Success,
our VISIONS
matter
WE NEED
to learn how to get along for us to
be
strong
Through all that’s been scattered
we should ALL have Visions
That can make us
bond
Not just for our community
But to hold onto throughout
our
MORTALITY
Let us promise ourselves that we will
Listen for what has yet to be heard
So tell me now
what’s your
Vision?”
Hi my name is Matthew Tricca,
In this piece I want to strongly advise Massachusetts and other states to limit weapons usage. I believe that guns and other weaponized equipment should be very limited. Because in reality some weapon holders such as policemen and other safety officials carry guns for pride not for protection. I will admit that even though I’m not a pro on this particular topic, though, I do hear stories. About innocent people getting shot by police men. Keep in mind that Police are supposed to 100% protect people. There are some safety officials that don’t. We as a society need to be a lot more careful on the usage of weapons. Think about someone walking towards you with a gun. That’s very scary, I’m sure to many. As I mentioned early, we as a community need to stop carrying around these weapons unless you KNOW that you have a reason too. They are for protection, not for pride. If you aren’t able to be reasonable with one then you MAY NOT have one! We need to find other ways to protect the innocent, and as far as the crime goes we need other ways to capture violent behavior. If you really want to protect our country than weapons, and other weaponized tactics should all be prohibited and illegal. Guns aren’t for playing around. Guns are designed to kill and brutally hurt people. We can find other ways to capture criminals. There wouldn’t have been as many deaths and violence if we didn’t add it to our constitution. We came up with that law. We can certainly extinguish it! As a state, we have to find other ways to defend ourselves. For safety officials, they need to find new and inventive ways to capture perpetrators, put down the guns, instead pick up something less harmful. If we can’t use guns how can we catch enemies? Firstly you’re not catching them you are killing them. I’m not saying we are just killing enemies. Because yes, some, we do catch. So I would say it’s half and half. But it could go down even further. Try stunning them if anything. There’s hunting which is just as awful. But that’s a whole other story. Having guns might seem like a privilege. That’s the problem! Unfortunately there is no one direct way to end gun violence and for safety. It takes effort and a village. Meaning it will take many of us. Plus you have to want to do it! Guns as mentioned are not for playing with. It’s a very serious thing. Keep in mind every shot you make you’ll also end up dealing with it for the rest of your life. I’m sure none of us want to live with that feeling.
End usage for firearms. Find new ways to protect and catch people. Because we cannot allow guns and other weaponized mechanics to rule the world. We are destroying it! Train only safety officials to use different tactics, to take down enemies of our society. Eliminate gun violence and the usage of firearms. We started this mess. We can certainly end it! Arrest foes in other ways. use it without firearms. Our society is bad enough nowadays. Sides are being taken. People are getting hurt. All I ask of you is don't choose the wrong side.
Keep in mind, at the end of the day we are a country, NOT a fighting ground!
